Jeroen specialises in complex international disputes, with a focus on international law and ESG regulation.
He advises clients on ESG-related legal challenges and disputes, including climate litigation, greenwashing, governance, human rights and environmental due diligence, climate-change risks, stakeholder engagement and supply chain responsibility. Jeroen also has experience in international commercial and investment arbitration, cross-border litigation and class actions. He is particularly interested in corporate disputes and complex commercial contracts in an international context. He has represented Dutch and international clients before state courts and in arbitrations under ICC, NAI, LCIA and ICSID rules, and has handled enforcement, attachment and related summary proceedings involving arbitral awards.
Before joining Ysquare, Jeroen worked in international litigation and arbitration at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek (three years) and Stibbe in Amsterdam (three years). In 2021–2022, he was seconded for seven months to BonelliErede’s Milan office (International Arbitration).
Jeroen is a member of the editorial board of the online journal Corporate Litigation, Directors’ and Supervisory Directors’ Liability and the Inquiry Proceedings (COBE).
